Wednesday's visit from former Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen is anticipated by the Panthers.

The Carolina Panthers could use a new receiver or two after trading DJ Moore to the Chicago Bears for the first overall pick in the 2023 draft. They will therefore host one tomorrow.

Adam Thielen, a free agent wide receiver, will visit the team on Wednesday, according to the initial report from NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport. The Minnesota Vikings just released the 32-year-old in an effort to cut costs.

Thielen, a graduate of Minnesota State University and a native of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, was signed by the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in 2013. He would stay with the company for the following nine years, hauling in 534 passes for 6,682 yards and 55 scores.

The 200-pound, 6-foot-2 pass catcher has earned two Pro Bowl choices (in 2017 and 2018) along with a 2017 Second-team All-Pro mention. He also had a relatively good 2022, recording 716 yards and six scores off 70 grabs. This was just one season after a season in which he scored 10 touchdowns.

Also, Carolina sent a representative to Friday's private workout of fellow free agency receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
